Privacy Policy
How the Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce collects, uses, and protects information on this website — including our cookie and tracking disclosure. Effective July 29, 2026.
What we collect
Contact details you send us, membership and event info handled by our chamber platform, and anonymous site analytics.
How it's used
To run memberships, dues, events, and newsletters, answer messages, and improve the site. We don't sell personal information.
Public on purpose
The member directory exists to promote local businesses — those listings are intentionally public.
Your choices
Unsubscribe from any email, manage cookies in your browser, or write to us to access, correct, or delete your information.
The Spring Hill Chamber of Commerce ("the Chamber," "we," "us") is a Tennessee 501(c)(6) nonprofit membership organization located at 5326 Main Street, Suite G, Spring Hill, TN 37174. This policy explains what information we collect through springhillchamber.com and chamber-operated services linked from it, how we use that information, and the choices you have. It applies to website visitors, members, and event attendees.
Information we collect
Information you give us. Depending on how you interact with the Chamber, this can include:
- Contact form submissions — your name, email address, business or organization, and message.
- Membership applications and renewals — business name, contact names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, and billing details, handled through our chamber-management platform (GrowthZone / ChamberMaster).
- Event registrations and ticket purchases — attendee names, contact details, and payment confirmation.
- Newsletter and announcement sign-ups — your email address.
- Member directory submissions — the business details, descriptions, logos, and photos members provide for their public listing.
- Job board postings — position and employer contact details members submit.
Information collected automatically. When you browse this site we collect anonymous usage data through Google Analytics (pages viewed, time on site, device type, browser, and approximate region), and our hosting provider keeps standard server logs (IP address, request time, and pages requested) for security and reliability.
How we use information
- To process membership applications, dues, and renewals.
- To register you for events and communicate event details.
- To send newsletters, announcements, and member communications you signed up for.
- To respond to messages sent through our contact form.
- To publish and promote member businesses in the directory, interactive map, and related features.
- To understand how the website is used and improve it.
- To meet legal, tax, and accounting obligations that come with being a nonprofit membership organization.
We do not sell personal information. We use it for chamber business, as described here, and nothing else.
The member directory is public on purpose
A core service of the Chamber is promoting local businesses. Member listings — business name, category, address, phone number, website, social profiles, business photos, and descriptions — are intentionally published in our online member directory, interactive member map, and related pages so residents and visitors can find and support local businesses. Directory information is business information, not private personal data. Members can update their listing through their member portal or by contacting us, and may ask us to remove specific details from their public listing at any time.
Who we share information with
We share information only with the service providers that make chamber operations work, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- GrowthZone / ChamberMaster — our chamber-management platform, which operates membership, dues, event registration, member login, and the data behind the member directory (business.springhillchamber.com).
- Payment processors — dues and ticket payments are handled by the payment providers built into our chamber-management platform and event-ticketing services. Card numbers are collected by those processors and are never stored on this website’s servers.
- Google — Google Analytics (anonymous site statistics) and embedded Google Maps on pages that show locations.
- Website infrastructure — our hosting platform (Vercel), our database provider (Neon, which stores contact-form messages), and our staff-login provider (Clerk, used only for the Chamber’s internal admin console).
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of the Chamber, our members, or others. If the Chamber ever merges with another organization, member records would transfer as part of that transition with notice to members.
Cookies & tracking disclosure
Tennessee law does not require this site to show a cookie consent banner, so we don’t interrupt you with one. Instead, here is the complete picture of what this site uses:
- Analytics cookies. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand anonymous traffic — which pages are visited, how long people stay, and how they found us — so we can improve the site. Analytics cookies do not identify you personally to us.
- Maps. Pages with embedded Google Maps (our contact page, interactive member map, and voting-location maps) load Google services that may set their own cookies, governed by Google’s privacy policy.
- Functional storage. The site stores small preferences in your browser (for example, where you docked the what’s-new panel, or cached directory data so pages load faster). These never leave your device.
- Advertising pixels. This site does not currently use advertising or social-media pixels (such as the Meta Pixel). If we ever adopt one to promote chamber events, we will update this section first.
Opting out. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings — look under Privacy & Security in Chrome, Safari, or Edge — and the site will keep working. You can also install Google’s Analytics opt-out browser add-on to exclude yourself from Google Analytics everywhere.
Email choices
Every Chamber newsletter and marketing email includes an unsubscribe link. Unsubscribing stops marketing messages; we may still send transactional messages tied to your membership or event registrations (invoices, confirmations, and similar).
How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as it serves the purposes above: membership records for the duration of membership plus the retention required for tax and accounting rules; contact-form messages until they are resolved and no longer needed; and analytics data on Google Analytics’ standard retention schedule.
Security
This site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are encrypted in transit, and we rely on established providers for hosting, storage, and payments. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we choose services and practices intended to protect your information.
Children
This website is for the business community and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children; if you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
External links
We link to member websites, government resources (such as county election commissions and the Tennessee Secretary of State), and other third-party sites. Their privacy practices are their own — this policy covers only chamber-operated pages.
Your choices & requests
To access, correct, or delete information we hold about you — or to change what appears in a member listing — email info@springhillchamber.com or call (931) 486-0625. We respond to verified requests within 30 days.
Changes to this policy
When our practices change, we will update this page and its effective date. This policy is effective as of July 29, 2026.
